How long can a person realistically go with none or very little sleep? i stay up most nights till 3-4am (sometimes don't go to sleep as is the case today) trying to get my house tidied as social services say my house needs to spotless , spotless with 4 kids aged 3-9 and a 10 week old baby seriously! Anyway i do it i try to tidy this house every night ignore how tired am i even though as soon as i sit down to feed my baby i'm falling asleep , i'm totally whacked but the fear social services will take my children makes me stay up instead of sleep :/ anyway how important is sleep ?
according to http://www.helpguide.org/life/sleeping.htm very important! the average adult needs 7.5-9 hours sleep to function apparently , so how i'm not walking round like a zombie i'll never know though after having a quick look on that website i am realising how much not sleeping is affecting me , making the simplest of decisions is becoming increasingly difficult , i'm getting down and teary more often and my mood is up and down like a roller coaster , oh well back to the tidying i may sleep tonight if the monsters don't make too much mess lol.

me
Well i guess for my first post a bit about me would be a good place to start , i live in the UK with my 5 monsters Chloe (9) Cameron (7) Caitlin (6) Caden (3) and Xander (9 weeks) some may be wondering what happened to the C theme the answer is he has a different dad .
Life can be pretty hectic with 5 kiddies under 10 especially being a lone parent (me and Xander's dad not a "couple" but will post more on that another time) Chloe the eldest usually the best behaved but is getting that pre-teen attitude off to a T, Cameron pretty boisterous though also can be a little softie in that he never sticks up for him self and often gets picked on by both his older sister and some of the local brats (i mean kids ) Caitlin very hyperactive, giddy, moody definitely keeps me on my toes she also has epilepsy so on constant watch for seizures, Caden totally mad , loves sweeping up and playing with water and Xander only 9 weeks so not up to much yet very smiley and loves the boob :) looks more and more like his daddy every day :) and me 28 years old, single parent and quite clearly mad , more to come soon bye for now x
